Papa Royal has had his altering surgery and Ryleigh is getting grey, both are healthy and happy. This has been a greatly rewarding venture for myself and our family through the years. Now at a time of consideration of owning and raising another puppy, and wondering if I can get through the puppy years one more time. we'll see .
I'd like to hear how the RyLeigh / Royal puppies are doing ... drop me a line sometime. I only check my blog about once every 6 months though so please don't be offended by a slow response. Life is good, God is great and I am blessed. Jill

Puppy #10 update!
As of February 3, "Bear Dog" @ 22 lbs. is paving the way for his littermates ... being the first to be surgically altered, and he's doing fine. (FYI: @Companion Pet Clinic, Inc. Bear Dog got the CardioPet Care Package#1 for 135.00 and the proceedure cost $44.95 for pup 25Lbs or less 179.95 total). This package deal looks really good and provided for anything the pet may need before, during and after surgery. health screen, ECG, pain meds, anesthesia, as well as his current vaccination needs.
Bear Dog ,@ 6wks, was first to leave the pack for his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He is doing great! He was house broke within the 1st week of being in his new home. At 11wks, he weighs 22 lbs and is beautiful with dark head and dark tail and ticked from head to toe. He walks 2-3 miles everyday, and is pretty well trained on his leash. New owners are looking forward to hunting with him this fall.

Halleluia! Every one has an excellent home!
We are puppy free. I have had the great priviledge of loving and caring for 12 pups these last 12 weeks and now as of Saturday, January 31 the final family has stepped up and claimed their prize, Windsor! My job is over for the most part, other than being a source of encouragement and support to the new owners. Stick with it new owners, your consistent direction and care will bring big dividends.
We will be entering a post to let all owners know the whereabouts of their puppy's littermates. But for now I'm going to sleep in a few mornings, and maybe even get away for a few nights with my wonderfully supportive husband.

12 weeks old today!
What a beautiful puppy you are, Windsor boy! Lovin' life and learning new ways and means every day. He is 20 lbs now and enjoying 1 on 1 time with Mama RyLeigh. Sleeping without littermate Blaze last night, for the first time, went well. The only change in his behavior is that he is more snuggly and wants to chew on me like he did with his littermates. I do like his soft mouth.Going outside w/out hesitation to go potty, and scurries right back to his favorite heat register. He's gonna make someone a wonderful companion. hunterfive@juno.com

Top Dog 'Windsor'
Windsor #7 is truly top dog now! He is our final male pup that remains to be placed. He has littermate Blaze #9 to tumble, wrestle and snuggle with until she leaves (Can't help but think Windsor's Buyer is going to surface before they have to be seperated). The timing and choices of the litter buyers has been amazing! Such perfect fits for each pup so far and no doubt there is a perfect fit for Windsor too.
At 11 weeks and 18 lbs, Windsor is getting more control of his body, and getting some speed as he races in the field behind the house with littermate Blaze and Mama RyLeigh. He is a bit shy when encountering new things, ie briars, pond, tall grass, overhanging branches and big open spaces. He takes his time to investigate. He then approaches, the next time, with more confidence. Such a fun process to watch.
After a nice 20-30 minute walk in the cold, Windsor has found the heat register is the best seat in the house.

'Blazing' a trail to Grizzly Flats, CA
'Blaze' has a new family! She's going to Grizzly Flats, CA. Where she may join the deer and the antelope at play, perhaps. We will miss her. We may be seeing some puppies from her a few years down the road. Bye-Bye Blaze!
